The SWIFT server of UniCredit Hungary broke down at 3:00 pm (CET). By now the SWIFT system has been brought back to normal operations.
Please be advised that on 16 February 2009 at 3:00 pm (CET) the server responsible for the SWIFT communication broke down at UniCredit Hungary Zrt. Immediately after the system failure was identified, the relevant system of UniCredit Hungary has been switched to the back-up server.
By now the SWIFT system has been brought back to normal operations. Investigation has already been started to identify the system failure’s impact on the incoming and outgoing
SWIFT traffic. Customers impacted by the SWIFT communication stoppage will be informed individually.
UniCredit Hungary’s main SWIFT system was not able to send and receive SWIFT messages between 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm (CET). Please be confirmed all securities transactions of the custody clients have settled for value date today in the Hungarian market and related settlement confirmations have been released. Customers impacted by the SWIFT communication stoppage will be informed individually
