Steve Bowman and Jim O’Donnell have been named co-heads of GCIB’s Global Hedge Fund Initiative.
Bowman and O’Donnell will assume this new role in addition to their current responsibilities as Head of Global Fixed Income Sales and Research and Head of U.S. Equities, respectively, said a spokesman for GCIB.
“Jim and Steve will ensure that we identify and meet the needs of our hedge fund client base in a coordinated fashion across Fixed Income, Equities and Prime Brokerage,” said Tom Maheras, head of global capital markets for GCIB. “Their efforts will be critical to increasing our already substantial business with hedge funds – a top priority of the firm.”
Bowman and O’Donnell’s initial focus will be on establishing a leadership team and defining their initial priorities to enhance the GCIB hedge fund business, the spokesman for GCIB said.
