The So Paulo Stock Exchange, BOVESPA, is planning two November events in New York to enhance awareness about the Brazil capital market and attract institutional investors.

The third edition of Brazil Day, to be held on November 14, will promote a series of panels with the main companies listed on BOVESPA. A panel with corporations that recently joined the market in the IPOs of 2004 and 2005 will be also part of the program.

The events opening session will count on the participation of the Minister of Industry and Foreign Trade, Mr. Luiz Fernando Furlan. Also expected in attendance is the President of the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission, Mr. Marcelo Trindade. The initiative is jointly promoted by BOVESPA, the National Association of Public Companies (Abrasca), the Brazilian Institute of Investor Relations (IBRI) and Brazilian Association of Investment Analysts (APIMEC).

Also in its third edition, BEST-Brazil: Excellence in Securities Transactions-will present on November 16 the infrastructure and regulatory environment for portfolio investments in Brazil. The initiative is co-sponsored by BOVESPA, the Brazilian Mercantile & Futures Exchange (BM&F), the Brazilian Clearing and Depository Corporation (CBLC) and the National Association of Investment Banks (ANBID). The market regulators Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM), Brazilian Central Bank (BCB) and the Brazilian National Treasury (TN) will also take part in this seminar.
