GlobalPlatform, a provider of smart card infrastructure development and deployment, has re-elected Bob Beer of Datacard Group as its chair, marking his third consecutive term.
The Board also announced that Marc Kekicheff, from Visa International and former GlobalPlatform Technical Director, will take the role as Vice-Chair. Kekicheff will succeed his colleague Jim Lee, who served on the board for four years and who has recently retired from Visa International. Shoji Miyamoto of Hitachi retained his position as GlobalPlatform Secretary/Treasurer for a third term.
All three elected board officers will serve for one year on GlobalPlatform’s Executive Committee.
