BNY Securities Group has appointed Dan White to the post of senior sales trader for its G-Port European Sales team. He will sell to institutional clients as part of a drive by the bank to increase its global agency portfolio trading business. G-Port is part of BNY Securities Group and a division of BNY Securities Limited.
White joins BNY Securities Group from Nomura where he had worked for 3 years. Based in London, he will report to Karin Russell-Wiedekehr, Head of G-Port European Sales. His remit is to develop and deepen G-Port’s portfolio trading relationships with UK and Ireland based fund managers and hedge funds.
“Ongoing regulatory discussions have led to a dramatic increase in fund managers’ use of conflict-free agency portfolio trading coupled with third-party independent research,” says Karin Russell-Wiedekehr. “Dan brings a wealth of portfolio sales trading experience in the UK and Irish markets and his appointment recognises the importance of G-Port and BNY Securities Group’s overall growth strategy within The Bank of New York in Europe.”
