BNY has hired Tom Pikett, who joins from JPMorgan Chase, as digital assets product manager.
At BNY, Pikett will be part of the digital assets division led by Caroline Butler.
Before joining BNY, Pikett spent over five years at JPMorgan, where he was most recently as global digital product lead in the trading services unit.
His roles at JPMorgan also included vice president of product management and product development in trading services, as well as vice president of product development in agency securities finance.
Before his tenure at JPMorgan, Pikett worked as a Securities Financing Transactions Regulation (SFTR) business manager at MarketAxess Post-Trade for more than two years. His career also includes positions at Royal Bank of Scotland, Trax, and Euroclear.
The appointment comes after a pair of high-profile departures from BNY’s digital asset team earlier this year. Maxime de Guillebon departed in January to join Ripple, while Benjamin Duve, one of the firm’s tokenisation leads for digital assets and blockchain, departed in February.
