The Bank of New York Mellon, a provider of securities servicing and asset management, has opened an office in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).
The opening of the office follows the granting of a licence from the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) to operate from the DIFC.
“This is an important enhancement of our ability to serve our clients in the region,” says Gerald Hassell, president of The Bank of New York Mellon. “The DIFC is the recognised hub for financial services in the Middle East, and being there means that we are well placed to achieve our growth aspirations.”
