BNY Mellon has hired Dennis Presburg as head of asset servicing business development for Northern Europe from State Street.

Presburg joins in the newly created role with a focus on leading asset servicing sales in Germany, as well as business development across the region.

He joins after 10 years at its Boston-based rival where he was most recently a business development executive for asset owner solutions for The Netherlands, Nordics and Belgium.

“Dennis has a strong track record working with asset owners and institutional investors across northern Europe,” said Ileana Sodani, head of EMEA business development, asset servicing, BNY Mellon.

“These are key markets for BNY Mellon, and his appointment underlines our commitment to both providing an exceptional client experience and our growth ambitions across the region.”

Prior Presburg’s time at State Street, he held a number of client development roles at Northern Trust and KAS Bank.

At BNY Mellon, he will lead a new team which includes the recent new business development appointments in Germany to BNY Mellon, Holger Hoch and Isabel Zeuch.
