BNY Mellon hires JP Morgan’s hedge fund client specialist for sales

The newly created positions follows an a new focus by BNY Mellon on alternatives investment clients.

BNY Mellon has hired a former hedge fund specialist from JP Morgan in a new newly created sales role focusing on alternative investment management clients. 

Elizabeth Grier joins as a sales director for hedge fund, exchange traded funds (ETF) and structured products. 

Based in London, she will report to Scott Cooey, head of business development for hedge fund, ETF and structured products. 

“Elizabeth has a wealth of knowledge in the alternatives sector, gained through working directly for and with a variety of private equity and hedge fund-focused banks and alternative investment firms,” said Cooey. 

“Her appointment underlines our strategic priority of continuing the development of our strong market position in alternative investment services.”

Grier was previously an executive director for client services at JP Morgan where she focused on their hedge fund manager clients. She is also the founder and chairwoman of London-based charity organisation Hands On London.
