BNY Mellon has realigned its Performance & Risk Analytics groups and created a new business called Global Risk Solutions.
The new group will be led by Debra Baker, who re-joins Asset Servicing after leading the U.S. financial institutions client segment within BNY Mellon’s Corporate Trust business, where she was chief administrative officer and oversaw the collateralized debt obligations unit. Previously she held roles in investment risk services and headed its global product management and global risk services groups.
Global Risk Solutions will provide investment analysis products and services that are integrated with BNY Mellon’s core custody and accounting platforms. It is developed for clients including pension funds, foundations, endowments and other large financial institutions. Services include risk analysis, performance measurement, compliance monitoring and peer group comparisons and attribution tools.
“With a rise in alternative investment strategies, industry shocks and new regulatory requirements, it’s crucial for decision-makers to be able to quickly analyze and assess their total investment risk,” says Vince Sands, executive vice president and deputy CEO of BNY Mellon Asset Servicing. “Our new Global Risk Solutions group under Debra’s leadership is built specifically to do just that.
