Following last weeks extensive reorganization of the BNY Mellon Asset Servicing management team, the firm has appointed Ian Stewart head of Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) Client Management. Stewart replaces Hani Kablawi, who was appointed head of EMEA Asset Servicing last week.

Stewart will report to Jim Palermo, vice chairman and CEO of Global Client Management. Stewart is currently and will remain head of North America Client Management.

In his additional capacity as head of EMEA client management, Stewart will oversee country management and strategic clients across the region.

As head of client management for North America, he is responsible for client relationships within the following groups, which report to him: Banks and Broker Dealers, Investment Managers, Insurance companies, Corporates, Real Estate, Syndications, Not-for-Profits, Alliance Program and Federal and State Governments.

Ian’s leadership will ensure our company continues to deliver quality service to our clients and a deep understanding of their needs, says Palermo. Bringing the majority of our global client management functions together under Ian ensures collaboration and sharing of best practices, and demonstrates the strength of our management team.”

Last week, BNY Mellon appointed Vince Sands as deputy CEO of Asset Servicing; Samir Pandiri, head of the Americas Asset Servicing; Lou Maiuri, head of Global Financial Institutions; Nadine Chakar, global head of Derivatives360; and Patrick Tadie, business executive for Alternative and Broker-Dealer Services.
