BNP Paribas Securities Services has appointed Stephen Turner as Head of Global Fund Services in the UK.
Turner is based in London and reports locally to Tony Solway, Head of BNP Paribas Securities Services UK. Globally, he reports to Frederic Perard, Head of Global Fund Services.
Turner joins BNP Paribas from Citibank, where he spent twelve years in a number of international roles in London, Japan and Switzerland. Most recently, he was Securities Strategic Solutions Director, responsible for engineering large outsourcing contracts.
Between 2001 and 2004, Turner was CEO of the NikkoCiti Trust and Banking Corporation in Japan, a company offering trustee and custodial services. Prior to that, he was responsible for growing Citibank’s franchise in Switzerland.
Before joining Citibank, Turner spent eight years at Chase Manhattan in a succession of network management, settlement and treasury roles. In his new role at BNP Paribas, he will take responsibility for the product management activity around outsourcing, fund administration, retail investor services and custody.
“Stephen has a vital role in keeping us at the leading edge, in terms of innovation and responsiveness to market demand,” says Tony Solway. “We were one of the early players in retail product administration and a pioneer of middle and back office outsourcing in the 80s and 90s. Stephen will help set our agenda for the next decade and we look forward to his contribution to the team.”
