BNP Paribas, France’s biggest listed bank, on Tuesday announced a management reshuffle in which Jean-Laurent Bonnafe would become chief operating officer and Jean Clamon managing director.
BNP Paribas also reiterated in a statement that its corporate and investment banking division was “holding its own” in the current financial market turmoil.
“BNP Paribas has a high potential for growth and many assets for improving its competitive positions even further, in an environment that is creating unprecedented challenges for the banking profession,” Chief Executive Baudouin Prot says in a statement.
