BNP Paribas Investment Partners has appointed Vincent Trouillard-Perrot as CEO for Asia (ex-Japan) with immediate effect.
Based in Hong Kong, Trouillard-Perrot is expected to further strengthen the asset management’s capabilities to capture the tremendous opportunities in Asia, particularly in the burgeoning China and India markets, as well as in the countries of South-East Asia, which have seen unprecedented growth in recent years with massive inflow of foreign capital.
Trouillard-Perrot was most recently the representative director and president of BNP Paribas Asset Management Japan where he joined in 2003.
Trouillard-Perrot is a seasoned, accomplished banker, having garnered valuable experience in various management positions within the BNP Paribas Group, including over 10 years in Asia.
Prior to his Japan posting, Vincent worked in Hong Kong for four years, where he worked at the BNP Paribas Private Bank Hong Kong Branch as COO for Hong Kong and North Asia and as deputy head of Private Banking.
“BNP Paribas Investment Partners is the dedicated business line for investment management. Vincent is a distinguished individual with a great deal of international experience. His appointment will enable us to expand our operations by capitalizing on the abundant opportunities abound in Asia especially with the de-regulation and relaxation of restraints for foreign banks in markets such as China, Korea and India,” says Mignonne Cheng, head of North and East Asia, BNP Paribas Investment Partners.
“BNP Paribas Investment Partners is a key player in the multi-specialist asset management industry and I am delighted to join the team in Asia. I hope that my international experience will help propel the development of the Bank’s Asian footprint and I would work towards forging stronger ties with our partners following our Bank’s rebranding program last year. Our development’s ambitions in Asia are big,” adds Trouillard-Perrot.
