BNP Paribas’ Equity & Derivatives business (EQD) has appointed Stephane Goursat as Head of UK / Ireland / South Africa Structured Products Sales. Stephane is based in London and reports to Jean-Eric Pacini, Head of Structured Products Sales for the London EQD platform.
Goursat joins BNP Paribas from Societe Generale in London, where he spent four years building up regional business. In his role at BNP Paribas, Goursat will run three teams, which are all of strategic focus for the bank in the year ahead: Retail and Private banks, own account clients and fund of fund managers.
Goursat also has an additional mandate on the London EQD platform. With his recognised expertise, Goursat is perfectly placed to help meet BNP Paribas’ aggressive targets for the Fund Derivatives business. In this capacity, Goursat reports to Stephane Liot, Global Head of Fund Derivatives.
“Stephane brings to BNP Paribas both extensive experience and a proven track record in the UK market,” says Pacini. “His appointment will help to accelerate EQD’s ambitious growth plans for 2007 and enhance our core structured products business.”
