In 2008 BNP Paribas CIB broke new ground in M&A markets abroad while maintaining strong results in markets close to home.
Over the past year BNP Paribas CIB advised on 93 announced transactions in Europe totaling 219 billion dollars and 120 announced deals worldwide totaling 269 billion dollars. These results pushed the bank to 9th in Thomson Reuters’ rankings for M&A banks in Europe and 10th for banks in M&A on the global scale, a first for the bank which confirms Corporate Finance’s international development.
In addition, CIB’s Corporate Finance teams have also taken the number one spot for M&A banks in France for the 4th year in row cementing their dominance in this domestic market.
