BNP Paribas Asset Management has launched the Parvest Euro Inflation Linked Bond fund. It will invest mainly in inflation index-linked bonds denominated in Euro but also other instruments such as floating rate notes, money market instruments and short and medium term fixed, highly rated bonds.
Paribas says the fund will be actively managed with a view to making tactical gains from market opportunities using the most suitable approach to risk control. Patrick Barbe, head of BNP Paribas Asset Management’s Euro Fixed Income team, manages the fund.
With over 14 billion euros worth of assets under management as at 15 April 2004 and 64 sub-funds distributed in 22 countries, Parvest is one of Europe’ s benchmark Luxembourg umbrella funds.
