BNP Paribas has appointed Gyorgy Cselenyi as the head of securities services in Hungary.
Cselenyi has nearly twenty years of experience in the Hungarian banking sector. He has been with BNP Paribas since 2004 when he worked as a bond trader and most recently served as the head of interest rate trading in Hungary. He also helped the bank join the Hungarian primary dealer system in 2010.
“We’re pleased to appoint Gyorgy to lead our business in Hungary,” said Gerald Noltsch, BNP Paribas’ regional manager for Germany, Northern Europe, CEE and CIS. “His outstanding experience and knowledge of the local banking market, together with his strong existing knowledge of the BNP Paribas group, makes him the ideal candidate to take our business forward in Hungary.”
BNP Paribas has offered local custody services in Hungary since 2008, and in 2010 the bank became a general clearing member for fixed income and started offering on-exchange services.
