BNP Paribas has appointed Nick Tranter, who will join on 28 January 2008 and will be based in London, as head of European equity derivatives flow sales.

In addition to his role as head of European equity derivatives flow sales, Tranter will also have oversight of BNP Paribas’ equity derivatives business with UK clients. He reports to Denis Frances, global head of equity derivatives flow sales and to Shaun Wainstein, head of BNP Paribas’ equities & derivatives platform in London.

Tranter will be responsible for accelerating the growth of BNP Paribas European flow business with an emphasis on extending institutionalclient coverage and intensifying links with the hedge fund community.

Tranter joins from Morgan Stanley in London where he was a managing director and head of Pan-European structured and flow equity derivatives sales. He spent over 10 years at Morgan Stanley in a variety of equity derivatives sales roles. Before, Tranter worked as an equity derivatives analyst and structurer at JP Morgan in London.
