BNP Paribas Securities Services has appointed Daniel Whitehead to the Global Corporate Trust team as Legal and Documentation manager.

Daniel joined the firm on 4th January 2005 from legal firm Ashursts where he was most recently working in the Securities and Structured Finance Department. Prior to that he worked in the Corporate Finance department. Daniel qualified as a lawyer in 1999.

Based in London, Daniel will be responsible for senior structured transactions documentation and report functionally to Guy Vanhakendover, Head of Global Corporate Trust (GCT) Product in Luxembourg and locally to Gary Webb, Head of GCT London. This appointment follows the recent hires of Alex Pashley and Ian Hames to the UK Corporate Trust team in November.

Commenting on the appointment, Gary Webb said, “Dan brings further strength to BNP Paribas Securities Services’ corporate trust team, which will enable us to consolidate our reputation of providing clients with high quality assistance with their transactions. His expertise in working on repackaging and CDO transactions, from both a trustee and administrator perspective, will help us to grow and support the evolving requirements of this rapidly growing sector of the market”.
