Bloomberg has upgraded its Bloomberg Terminal (Bloomberg Professional) service. The next-generation service, called Bloomberg NEXT, consolidates and integrates data, news and analytics.
The upgrades include better discoverability, allowing clients to access a variety of data including company information, research and charts; a redesigned interface; and an intuitive workflow with easier navigation.
The company will convert all its customers, numbering nearly 310,000 business and financial professionals, to Bloomberg NEXT by the end of this year. Already, 100,000 have made the switch.
“The complexity and interconnectedness of the global financial marketplace has grown significantly, says Tom Secunda, Bloomberg LP’s co-founder, vice chairman and head of the company’s financial products and services division. Business and financial professionals need to synthesize astounding amounts of information to make intelligent investment decisions. We have redesigned the terminal to ensure that our clients get the best, fastest and most insightful answers.”
