Apparently, a case of 1982 Lafite Rothschild has been the UK’s best performing commodity over the past decade, according to analysis by Liv-ex The Fine Wine Exchange.

In comparison, the best-performing equity – British American Tobacco – increased in price 454% over the same period, while gold prices are up 297%.
Over the past decade, the Liv-ex Fine Wine Investables Index isup 178.3%, Brent Crude spot GBP up 177.7%, the FT House Price Index up 118.2%, and the Stanley Gibbons 100 Stamp Index was up 60.9%.
