Blenheim Capital Management announced that Joseph F. Esposito and James P. Wohlmacher have joined the firm as senior vice presidents. Willem Kooyker, Blenheim’s founder and president, said the hires allow Blenheim to enter a new phase of growth.

“Joe and Jim bring a great deal of experience to the table,” said Mr. Kooyker. “We want to approach growth the right way. A superior infrastructure will not only support the culture of our investment decision making but also enhance our returns.”

Esposito and Wohlmacher are both seasoned hedge fund professionals, having worked together previously at Commodities Corporation in Princeton, New Jersey, from 1991 until 1995. Mr. Kooyker served as the President of Commodities Corporation in the early 1980s.

Mr. Esposito assumes the administrative and compliance responsibilities at the firm. He joins Blenheim from Vinya Capital, L.P., a Stamford, Connecticut-based hedge fund, where he served as general counsel. Before Vinya, he was general counsel at Goldman Sachs Hedge Fund Strategies LLC (formerly Commodities Corporation) where he supported its proprietary trading activities, hedge fund of funds business and foreign exchange trading desk since 1991. Before Goldman, he was in the tax and the ERISA practice groups at Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft in New York.

Mr. Wohlmacher assumes Blenheim’s risk management responsibilities. In addition, he is responsible for trader development, and a new business initiative that will focus on extending the firm’s core approach to include investment strategies in natural resource and commodity-related equities. Mr. Wohlmacher joins Blenheim from Hamilton Investment Management LLC, a New York-based multi-strategy hedge fund manager, where he was chief operating officer, responsible for risk management, operations, compliance and marketing/investor relations. Hamilton was spun out of Hamilton Partners, an affiliate of Commodities Corporation, where Jim previously worked in risk management and compliance from 1991 to 1995. Before that, Mr. Wohlmacher held various regulatory positions with the New York Stock Exchange, Inc. beginning in 1987.
