BISYS has established an alliance with the College for Financial Planning, a provider of training for IFAs in the United States. BISYS, which has a sizeable training business, will work with the College to prepare IFAs for Chartered Retirement Planning Counsellor and Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist examinations.

“Given the competitive nature of today’s retirement marketplace, many retirement industry professionals are pursuing higher designations and accreditations in order to increase their effectiveness and marketability,” says Christopher Guarino, President of BISYS Retirement Services. “The combination of the quality of the self-study program from the College for Financial Planning and the expertise and experience of BISYS’ retirement industry instructors will provide significant benefits to the industry.”

Classroom sessions are to be offered five times a year and presented in two-hour sessions over an eight-week period. John Sears, College president, says that there are currently over 3,500 professionals in the United States who hold the CRPC and CRPS designations. “Our alliance with BISYS will enable hundreds of new professionals to take advantage of online, instructor-led classes in their pursuit of credentials that make them exceptionally qualified to serve their communities,” he says.
