The retirement services unit of BISYS, Inc., increased its sales force by more than 40% over the past six months. The expanded staff includes the areas of external sales, an internal wholesaling group that provides follow-up and helps advisors close retirement plan sales, and the sales desk team that handles inbound calls.

“Our vision is that this expanded in-market and behind-the-scenes presence enables our institutional partners and their sales professionals to build their retirement books of business more effectively,” said Bob Guillocheau, president of BISYS Retirement Services. “It’s a win-win situation for our institutional clients, their distribution channels, as well as our own ambitious goals with regards to organic growth.”

Charles Wenzel, senior vice president of distribution support services for BISYS Retirement Services, engineered the expansion and support model in anticipation of further increasing the heightened plan sales opportunities.

BISYS has recently added features to support Roth 401(k) plans and other new participant offerings such as forced IRA rollovers. And through its recent acquisition of Total Benefit Communications, BISYS now offers participant enrolment meeting services.
