The Vienna Stock Exchange has appointed Birgit Kuras as a member of its management board, according to a newsflash by UniCredit.
Kuras and Michael Buhl will jointly run the business of the Vienna Stock Exchange beginning March 1, UniCredit says. Kuras replaces departing member Heinrich Schaller.
Kuras currently heads CEE Equity Capital Markets and M&A Austria for Raiffeisen Centro Bank AG. She has also been on the management board of the Austrian Association for Financial Analysis and Asset Management, according to UniCredit.
The Vienna Stock Exchange has to prove its resilience in the currently volatile market, says Friedrich Kadrnoska, chairman of the supervisory board of Wiener Brse AG. I am convinced that with Birgit Kuras and Michael Buhl we have a strong team that will advance the development of the Austrian capital market also in these difficult times.
