The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has selected BearingPoint to provide enterprise system integration and development services to the department’s eMerge2 Program.

eMerge2 is a resource management transformation program that will consolidate and integrate DHS’s budget, accounting and reporting, cost management, asset management and acquisitions and grants functions into a single solution. These functions are currently housed in over 100 separate resource management systems, a legacy of DHS’s formation through the merger of resources from 22 agencies. Few of these systems are integrated, and several are outdated and many have limited functionality, according to BearingPoint. Once completed, eMerge2will allow DHS to marshal resources across multiple agencies as situations arise.
