BearingPoint, Inc. announced that it has appointed Peter Mockler as executive vice president of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) as well as chairman of the Management Board of Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Mockler, a member of the Management Board of Germany, Austria and Switzerland since February 2003, has served as Industry Leader Public Services/Infrastructure Services (PS/IS) Germany, Austria and Switzerland since February 2003. Throughout his career he has been responsible for a wide range of consulting assignments covering ERP implementations, supply chain management solutions, strategic planning as well as business process improvement, and was significantly involved in developing strategic key accounts in the German-speaking region. He joined BearingPoint in 1989 and was promoted to partner in 1997.

Mockler replaces Steffen Seeger as head of EMEA, who has left the firm for personal reasons after more than 20 years with the company and its predecessors. Seeger was instrumental in the globalization of BearingPoint and served successfully in a number of international management positions for the company.
