BearingPoint, Inc. appointed Barry P. Chaiken, MD, as an associate chief medical officer.

Chaiken joins BearingPoint’s Clinical Transformation solution team, where he will serve healthcare clients alongside BearingPoint’s other medical officers, clinicians and healthcare consultants. In addition to client service, Dr. Chaiken will help enhance BearingPoint’s visibility and thought leadership through speaking engagements and by authoring articles on key trends for various healthcare publications.

Chaiken has more than 20 years experience in medical research, continuous quality improvement, risk management and health care consulting. As founder of his own company, he worked on quality improvement studies and clinical investigations for the National Institutes of Health, the Framingham Heart Study, and Boston University Medical School.

Dr. Chaiken is board certified in General Preventive Medicine and public Health as well as Health Care Quality Management. He received his medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center, NYC, his masters in public health

degree in health services administration from the Harvard School of Public Health, and his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University at Albany. He is a nationally known speaker and widely published in several industry journals.
