Brown Brothers Harriman says it will be custodian and fund administrator to Merrill Lynch Global Selects Portfolio PLC, a Dublin-based UCITS fund with 82 separate share classes to be distributed in six countries across three continents. It aims to offer investors access to top fund managers at a competitive price, with portfolio information such as geographic, sectoral and specific stock exposure distributed via the Internet.

“This partnership with Merrill Lynch is a major win for BBH,” says Susan Livingston, a BBH partner. “By choosing to expand our existing global relationship to include one of their newest and most innovative products, we believe this truly validates our approach to meeting and exceeding individual client expectations. As Merrill continues to grow the Global Selects offering, BBH will apply our fully integrated, customisable services and products to meet their global growth needs.”

“We selected BBH due in large part to their strong reputation in the industry,” adds Mark DeSario, Head of the offshore Managed Assets Group of Merrill Lynch. “BBH has a long-standing history of partnering with clients to provide intelligent, creative and effective solutions for innovative products and platforms.”
