Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. (BBH) announced that effective immediately, Partner Thomas E. Berk will join Investor Services & Markets to assume responsibility for Global Client Service. In his new position, Berk will reside in Boston.
This move recognizes the importance of client service in growing our business and the increasing complexity of delivering seamless service to our clients across multiple geographies, says Bill Tyree, partner and global head of investor services & markets. Rick’s background as a technologist, and as an executive with proven enterprise-wide management responsibility, speaks to the range of skills we believe are needed to deliver a measurably superior client experience. Client service excellence has always differentiated BBH from its peers and this appointment is designed to ensure that going forward. We are delighted to welcome Rick into this very important role.
Prior to this appointment, Berk has served as BBH’s Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Head of the firms Systems Division. In his tenure as CIO, BBH has delivered countless technology applications including the highly-visible Infomediary suite of financial messaging and productivity products, the co-developed Eagle STAR Fund Accounting platform, and BBHs ActionWorld corporate actions client interface and processing system. In addition, Berk has had responsibility for the complex behind-the-scenes infrastructure required by BBH to support mission critical functions, such as data security, data privacy and Anti-Money- Laundering/Know Your Customer compliance.. Berk has successfully managed a large technology service organization that has helped position BBH as an innovative technology leader.
Christopher Remondi, Managing Director, will assume executive responsibility for the BBH Systems organization, reporting to Taylor Bodman. In his new position, Remondi will relocate to New Jersey.
Over his 15 years at BBH, Mr. Remondi has had broad business-line experience in Investor Services & Markets, including fund accounting, client service, and relationship management. Currently, he leads the firms Innovation and Product Services Division, including BBH’s Infomediary business, for which Remondi has had executive responsibility since 2007. Under Remondis leadership, Infomediary has become one of the industry’s most innovative and successful technology offerings.
