Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. (BBH) has relocated J. Joseph Conway, Senior Vice President and Global Head of Sales for Infomediary, BBHs innovative connectivity and messaging platform, to Hong Kong.
Reporting to Lorrie Gordon, Global Head of Infomediary, and working closely with Andrew Tucker, Partner responsible for Asia, and William Rosensweig, Managing Director of BBH Hong Kong, Mr. Conway will oversee the Infomediary service teams in Hong Kong and Tokyo as well as London, and will retain responsibility for world-wide business development. One of his main objectives for 2010 will be to expand both Infomediarys service presence in Hong Kong and Tokyo.
Conway has been with BBH for 20 years in a variety of key roles. As part of the Infomediary team in Boston, he has been instrumental in the acquisition and servicing of the majority of Infomediary’s 165 clients over the past six years and is one of the most influential contributors to the success of this innovative technology solution.
Relocating Joe to Hong Kong is part of our major commitment to the Asian market and recognizes the increasingly global demand for the Infomediary product said Andrew Tucker, BBH Partner responsible for Asia. The move also contributes to our objective of building out a pan-Asian servicing hub in Hong Kong. We are delighted that Joe will be leading the development of Infomediary in the region.
I am excited by the tremendous opportunity for BBH Infomediary to assist financial institution and asset manager clients in Asia with their operational transparency and data connectivity and routing challenges to reduce frictional costs and risk, said Mr. Conway. I look forward to engaging with clients and prospects on solutions that help them achieve their business objectives.
BBH has been remarkably successful with its Asian strategy over the past 25 years and the firm is increasing its strategic investment in the region. BBH today employs over 100 individuals across its Tokyo, Hong Kong and Beijing locations and serves leading institutions in Japan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Korea, Taiwan and Australia as a provider of global custody, administration and related services. The opening of the firms Beijing Representative Office in 2009 and the relocation this year of Andrew Tucker, one of BBHs senior Partners, to the region have marked important milestones for BBH in terms of building a strong base in Asia.
