Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) has hired Daniel J. Genoud as Managing Director of its Zurich office. He succeeds Nicolas Wyss and Rolf Scheidegger, both of whom will be retiring from the firm after more than thirty years service. Both men will remain on the board of directors at Brown Brothers Harriman Service AG, Zurich.

“We’re pleased to have Daniel join BBH and step into this crucial role,” says Andrew Tucker, partner of BBH. “With the retirement of both Nicolas and Rolf there is no question he has big shoes to fill but Daniel’s extensive industry experience and expertise in managing every aspect of the custody business from operations to client relationships will help us manage the transition with every confidence.”

Genoud joins BBH from State Street Bank & Trust Company in Zurich where he served as Chief Operations Officer and Senior Relationship Manager for the Swiss client base. He started with State Street Bank in 1995 in their Munich office, where he was responsible for the relationship management teams as well as operations.

“BBH is renowned on a global scale for providing clients with an unparalleled level of service,” says Daniel Genoud. “I look forward to assisting the team in enhancing the firm’s presence in the Swiss market and driving our custody business forward.”
