Brown Brothers Harriman confirmed today that London-based SWIFT mutual funds guru Keith Haberlin had joined the bank as head of Infomediary sales for Europe.

BBH says hiring Haberlin “steps up” BBH’s investment in Infomediary, an STP connectivity platform. The banks says Infomediary now has over 40 clients in the US, Europe and Asia Pacific.

“We are pleased to have Keith join our team in support of the opportunities that lie ahead for Infomediary in Europe,” says Taylor Bodman, a partner at BBH and CEO of BBH Infomediary. “Keith’s job will be to extend Infomediary beyond the early adopters. There remains an immense amount of convoluted, manual, and idiosyncratic processing out there. It’s exciting to make a difference to the industry through Infomediary’s success as a single platform for a wide array of communications and integration needs.”

At SWIFT, Haberlin was global head of sales for investment funds and relationship manager for investment banks. He previously worked at Fidelity, Cogent and Cedel.

BBH Infomediary provides hosted data mapping, messaging and connectivity for practical business applications such as trades, bank reconciliation, funds order messaging, corporate actions, and foreign exchange automation/aggregation.

“BBH is renowned in the industry for its technology, cutting edge solutions, and ability to surpass client expectations,” says Haberlin. “I am thrilled to be joining the firm and look forward to helping to further expand the reach of the Infomediary solution, which has already experienced great success in Europe.”
