Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) has announced the appointment of three new partners, Glenn E. Baker, Charles O. Izard, and Yukinori Nagahisa, bringing the total number of general partners of the global financial services company to 41.
Baker, 43, joined BBH in 1991 and has spent his time since then involved in the firm’s fixed income management activities. In recent years, he has been responsible for the development and implementation of investment strategies and tactics for the firm’s clients.
Izard, 44, spent part of his career with BBH in New York, and in 1995 opened the firm’s investment management office in Charlotte, North Carolina. In addition to that office, his responsibilities have grown to include being a Director of the Brown Brothers Harriman Trust Company LLC, President of the BBH Funds, Inc. and directing the firm’s open architecture investment management products.
Nagahisa, 46, will continue as head of Investor Services for BBH Tokyo, a position he has held since 1992. Nagahisa began his career at BBH in 1987 and has been instrumental in growing the firm’s Japanese business.
