Brown Brothers Harriman has appointed Rafael Febres-Cordero as head of its Latin American wealth management business.
Febres-Cordero joins BBH from Fidelity Investments, where he most recently served as managing director for Devonshire Investors, a private equity division of Fidelity. At BBH, he will be responsible for the management and growth of the BBH Wealth Management business in Latin America, reporting directly to Charlie Izard, partner responsible for wealth management. He will be based in BBHs New York office.
Rafael is joining Wealth Management at a critical time, as we are well positioned to expand our Latin American footprint, Izard says. In addition to his role at Devonshire within Fidelity, Febres-Cordero also served as managing director for the firms Southern Europe and Latin America division. Prior to Fidelity, he held various leadership positions in corporate finance and international corporate banking in Venezuela.
