Bath & City Financial Ltd have appointed an experienced Financial Consultant, Tim Baverstock to their new venture, offering independent advice on a wide range of financial services.

Bath & City Financial is a joint venture between Bath Building Society and long-established Bath-based IFA City Financial Planning Ltd, and has just launched a brand new Independent Financial Advice service based at the Wood Street branch of Bath Building Society. This free service is available to people seeking help in managing their financial affairs and is open to everyone.

Baverstock joins Bath & City Financial with over 10 years experience in the industry. Previously he has worked for high street building societies and a multi-national financial services provider as both a Financial Consultant and an Independent Financial Consultant.

During his career, Baverstock has helped hundreds of people to find products to suit their needs from a range of providers. As an Independent Financial Consultant, Baverstock is completely impartial, having access to information on products from the whole of the market place, with no ties to any particular provider.

Baverstock can offer advice and recommendations on products including mortgages, savings and investments, protection, tax and trusts, pensions, inheritance tax planning. He has particular recent experience in Investments and Equity Release mortgages, designed for older people with substantial assets but who are looking for more income.

“I am pleased to be joining Bath & City Financial and am looking forward to being able to offer Bath Building Society’s customers and others the opportunity to discuss their financial requirements on an independent basis. I have started to meet some of the Society’s customers and indeed others who have passed by and stopped, and I sense that there is a real need for friendly impartial advice,” says Baverstock.

“The first priority of both Bath Building Society and City Financial Planning is to look after their customers, and through this new service Bath & City Financial will be able to help them to do just that. It is exciting to be joining a new company formed by two reputable businesses in Bath and I’m sure that there is a bright future ahead for Bath & City Financial,” adds Beverstock.

“We very much look forward to helping customers get the information and financial advice that is right for them, and if the financial products that are exactly right for them do not come from Bath Building Society, then that’s not a problem,” says Kevin Gray, deputy CEO, Bath Building Society,

“We are delighted to welcome Tim as our independent financial consultant in this exciting new venture. He brings with him valuable experience in the field, and I am confident that he will help Bath & City Financial to deliver an excellent, professional service to anyone seeking advice on their financial matters,” adds Gary Pimm, sales director at City Financial Planning who are in partnership with Bath Building Society in this venture.
