Tokyo custodian Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi (BTM) reports that earlier this week it conducted a complete test of its disaster recovery drill, including shifting operational staff and vendors working with its IT division to its back-up site in Chiba, 90 minutes outside Tokyo by train. The test assumed all operations in central Tokyo were disabled, and complete simulated operations were run on the back-up platform. The drill was completed successfully. The back-up site at Chiba was completed in March 2002.
