The Bank of New York announced today that Sadia S.A. has selected the Bank as its successor depositary for its American depositary receipt (ADR) program. Each ADR represents 30 preferred shares and trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol “SDA.” The company’s preferred shares are listed on the Bovespa, the So Paulo Stock Exchange.

Sadia is a poultry exporter and operates a refrigerated and frozen product distribution network in Brazil.

The company maintains 12 industrial plants and distribution centers in Brazil. It also has a distribution center in Chile and commercial offices in Italy, England and the United Arab Emirates.
