Bank of Bermuda says it has hired Harvey Twomey as Director of Sales, Global Fund Services (GFS) . Based in London, Twomey will focus on growing the alternative asset client base in the UK and rest of Europe. He will report directly to the Head of Sales for GFS, Brian Wilkinson.
“We are very pleased to welcome Harvey to Global Fund Services,” says Wilkinson. “He brings wide-ranging expertise and knowledge of the buy side needs of hedge funds as well as the role of execution brokers, prime brokers and fund administrators. Harvey will be concentrating on increasing our alternative business in Europe and will be an asset to our already strong sales team.”
Twomey joins Bank of Bermuda from the Misys Group in Hong Kong, where he was responsible for sales and marketing for the Asia Pacific region. Prior to that, he was Business Development Director for Asia Pacific and Latin America with the Trintech Group.
Commenting on his new role, Twomey said: “I am very pleased to be joining Bank of Bermuda and am looking forward to maximising the opportunities present within the UK and Europe. GFS has a definite commitment to servicing the alternative investment industry and I am excited about the prospects that are being generated as a result.”
