Bank of America Merrill Lynch has appointed Michael Terry as global head of capital introductions.
Terry will be based in New York and report to Jon Yalmokas, head of US prime brokerage sales.
“Michael’s capital raising experience brings knowledge and contacts to our team which will help us to further expand our hedge fund presence and help clients navigate an increasingly complicated investor landscape,” Yalmokas says.
Terry was a founding member of Oakpoint Advisors, an alternative investment consulting firm. Previously, he was head of North American capital introductions at Morgan Stanley and a vice president at Frontpoint Partners.
“As we attract new clients and grow our balances, we continue to invest in talent like Michael to better meet the demand from hedge fund and investor clients for our financing, prime brokerage and futures products and services,” says Stu Hendel, head of Global Prime Brokerage at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. “I’ve known Michael for many years and I’ve seen the tremendous positive impact that he has had on a number of clients.”
