Bank of America Corp. (BAC) and Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc. ( MER) has named Maurizio Tamagnini as head of the bank’s operations in Italy, Greece, Spain and Portugal.
The Bank of America/Merrill entity doesn’t have a formal name yet and the takeover of Merrill by BofA is expected to be completed by the beginning of next year.
Tamagnini, 43, was head of Merrill Lynch Italy and vice chairman of Merrill Lynch Europe.
In September, Bank of America agreed to acquire Merrill in a $50 billion all- stock transaction.
