The supervisory board of Bank Austria Creditanstalt (BA-CA) has extended the contracts of managing board members Erich Hampel, Wolfgang Haller and Wilhelm Hemetsberger for another five years. The contracts will expire in April 2010. In doing this, BA-CA’s supervisory board hopes to maintain continuity in the bank’s business policy.

Erich Hampel, 53, joined the managing board of the Bank Austria Creditanstalt Group in 1997. Since January 2004 he has been CEO of BA-CA. Wolfgang Haller, 53, has also been a member of the BA-CA Group’s managing board since 1997. In February 2004 he became deputy chairman of the managing board of BA-CA. In his capacity as COO, Wolfgang Haller is responsible for Organisation and IT; his responsibilities also include human resources.

Wilhelm Hemetsberger, 46, was CEO of CA IB Investment bank from 1998 to 2001. Since 2001 he has been a member of the managing board of BA-CA, with responsibility for international markets.

The contracts of Managing Board members Willibald Cernko (Retail Banking Austria), Stefan Ermisch (CFO and Equity Interest Management), Regina Prehofer (Central and Eastern Europe, International Corporate Business) and Johann Strobl (Risk Management) remain unchanged; their contracts will expire in 2008 and 2009, respectively.
