BA-CA-HVB Custody Group Promotes Staff In Austria, Czech Republic And Slovenia

The Bank Austria Creditanstalt AG (BA-CA)- HVB custody network in east and central Europe has made a number of new appointments in Austria, the Czech Republic and Slovenia.

Lilla Hartyani will be joining the Group Sales and Relationship Management Team in Vienna from 1 May 2005. She will take on responsibility for managing relationships for strategic clients across the Central and Eastern European (CEE) Region. “She brings vast experience in quality control, risk management and business flow optimisation,” says Dave Penstone, head of sales for BA-CA in Vienna. Having a varied background in both banking and technology, Hartyani is also a recent graduate of ISMA’s Securities Operations course.

Jrgen Hofmann has also joined the custody group in Vienna as the Austrian Head of Corporate Actions and Entitlements. Hofmann brings 13 years of experience in the industry, having begun in the foreign payments department in 1992 with a move into his chief field of expertise – retail corporate actions – in 1994. Most recently, Hofmann was responsible for the migration of corporate action processing for domestic clients of BA-CA on to a new retail securities system.

In the Czech Republic, Michal Stuchlik will now be Head of Custody – HVB Bank Czech Republic. Stuchlik, who began his career in custody during the early years of its development in the Czech Republic, has direct experience of settlement in the market. “Having worked his way up through various Relationship Management roles, Michal remains one of the most experienced custody experts in the country,” says Penstone. “Through his committee involvement in the Czech Capital Markets Association, he has always been an advocate for foreign investment and custody.”

Vanda Mocnik-Kohek joins as Head of Custody – Bank Austria Creditanstalt Slovenia. She has over 20 years of banking experience in Ljubljana – from controlling to liquidity management to treasury. Mocnik-Kohek joined Bank Austria Creditanstalt in 1993 in treasury and worked to establish the BA-CA Ljubljana treasury desk as one of the three most active desks on the Slovene market.
