Aviva, the savings, investments and insurance group, appoints Jean-Pierre Menanteau as CEO of Aviva France.
Menanteau, who will join Aviva France in October, previously held senior roles, including director of strategy and finance, at the Caisse des Dpts et Consignations Group – a financial institution which provides services to the public sector – where he worked from 1998 to 2004. More recently he was chief financial officer at SNCF, the French national railway company, where he played a key role in strengthening the organisation’s financial position. Menanteau has also been a member of the board and audit committee of Aviva France since August 2007.
“I am delighted that Jean-Pierre Menanteau is joining Aviva France,” says Andrea Moneta, CEO, Aviva Europe. “The French subsidiary plays a key role within Aviva Europe and the group, making a valuable contribution to the group’s results. Jean-Pierre has a proven track record in developing innovative growth strategies and an in-depth knowledge of the French financial community. His wide-ranging experience in financial services, combined with his energy and leadership skills, make him the ideal candidate to develop further our business in France.”
Menanteau succeeds Bruno Rostain as CEO of Aviva France, who leaves the group at the end of September 2008.
