Atrius Health, an alliance of five nonprofit multi-specialty medical groups with practice sites throughout eastern Massachusetts, announces that Alison Quirk has been appointed to its Board of Trustees.

The Board of Trustees is delighted to have Quirk as a member, says Ed Nalband, chairman of the Atrius Health Board of Trustees. With her extensive management experience, she will be a great asset to our board and to Atrius Health as we continue to provide the best care for our patients even in these uncertain times.

Quirk is executive vice president of State Street Corporations Global Human Resources Department. In this role, she is responsible for the global organization of Compensation and Benefits, Learning and Development, Talent Acquisition, Employee Mobility, Global Service Delivery, and Inclusion/Work Life.

Quirk joined State Street in 2002 as a member of the seven-person global team executing the acquisition and integration of the Deutsche Bank Global Securities Service Division. She acted as senior vice president of Global Human Resources Business Partner and chief talent officer before her promotion to executive vice president and her current role.

Prior to State Street, Quirk was director of business planning at FleetBoston Financial. She previously held senior-level roles in human resources and administration at Liberty Financial Companies, Liberty Funds Group, and Boston Financial Data Services.

Quirk is also a board member of the Ellis Memorial & Eldrege House, vice-chair of the United Way Womens Leadership Breakfast, and a member of The Boston Club.

Quirk earned her BA degree from the University of New Hampshire and is a resident of Boston, Mass.
