Ashcourt Asset Management, a subsidiary of Ashcourt Holdings, has appointed Andrew Crickmore as a senior asset manager and Simon Brown as an investment strategist.

After having spent the past three years in New Zealand, Crickmore has returned to the UK to join Ashcourt as a senior asset manager. In New Zealand, he was with Broadview Financial Management Ltd, an independent investment business, managing portfolios for high net worth New Zealand clients and off-shore clients. Prior to this, he spent eight years with Rathbone Investment Management managing private individual assets. He also played an integral part in the amalgamation of Rathbone, Laurence Keen and Neilson Cobbold, substantially increasing the firm’s assets under management.

Simon Brown is an investment fund manager with 17 years experience in managing institutional funds in UK and European equities. He joins Ashcourt from Clareville Capital where he managed the Core European equity long/short portfolio with total assets of £400m. Along with Stephen Walker, an existing analyst, he will be responsible for Ashcourt’s investment strategy. Before this appointment, he was a Senior Fund Manager for Shell Pensions Management Services, responsible for the European equity team, where he managed total assets of over £2bn.

Commenting on the appointments John Morton, Ashcourt’s chief executive officer, said: “We are delighted to appoint both Andrew and Simon to join Ashcourt, as they both bring considerable experience and expertise to the group and are welcome additions to an already experienced team. The appointments underpin our commitment to further develop expertise within Ashcourt which we believe is instrumental to the growth of assets under management.”
