Apex Group has announced the appointment of Krishna Prasad as head of US, effective from 7 March 2022.

Prasad will be based in Apex’s New York offices and will report directly to Georges Archibald, managing director, Americas. In the new role, Prasad will be responsible for supporting the firm’s business and client development in the US.

Prasad joins Apex with more than 30 years’ experience in the alternative investments and FinTech sectors, including senior roles at BBVA, Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank. Most recently, he served as founder and chief of Kavery Advisors, an alternative investments and FinTech advisory.

This news follows Apex’s acquisition of GCG, a US provider of finance, accounting, and human resources services to technology companies, venture capital and private equity funds.

The addition of the GCG business provided Apex with a new office with over 50 employees, taking the group’s headcount in the Americas to nearly 600 staff.

At the time, Peter Hughes, founder and CEO of Apex, said growth in the region was a strategic priority for the firm.
