Apex Group has hired a new co-head of its Throgmorton Compliance Solutions, the newly launched compliance service for UK and USA fund managers.
Julie Ferguson joins as co-head of Throgmorton Compliance Solutions, working alongside Mel Scotland who was appointed by the Group in July.
Ferguson joins from investment advisory firm Ashenden Capital Management where she spent over six years as its chief operating officer. She also spent nearly 11 years at Morgan Stanley’s prime brokerage business, before joining Northern Trust Hedge Fund Services.
This appointment further strengthens Apex Group’s single-source solution, with Compliance Solutions delivering new and complementary services to clients in addition to Throgmorton’s well-established accounting, tax, HR, payroll and company secretarial services.

The two hires follow a period of extensive growth in the corporate solutions space for Apex over the past year, including the expansion of subsidiary Throgmorton into the USA, UAE, Switzerland and the Channel Islands.
Last year, Apex closed its acquisition of the Throgmorton and Corporate and Private Client Services (CPCS) businesses from Link Group.
