HSBC Securities Services (HSS) says Anna Shill has joined as deputy head of IFS Tax Services, Europe, reporting to John Everett, head of tax.

“Anna will lead the Tax Product team to help maintain the ability to satisfy the demands and enquiries of our expanding client base,” says Everett. “She has joined us as the scope of the business increases and as the tax environment becomes ever more complex.”

Shill previously spent nine years at JP Morgan, most recently serving as vice president for global tax custody for bank’s Europe, Middle East and Africa regions. Her responsibilities included tax technical work, client liaison and training and internal tax training to all levels.

Before that, she was a tax manager at Nevill Stormont & Co and prior to that she was corporate tax senior at Pannell Kerr Foster, Colchester. She also had previous positions as tax manager at Andrew Clark & Co and tax senior at Moores Rowland. She began her career as an articled chartered accountant at Hugill & Co.
